For the ones beside me.
Most of my writing is for the people on the other side of the desk. This page is for the ones beside me.
If you are a clinic, hospital, insurer or pension fund, I take a limited number of consulting and assessment collaborations. My position is public, and it is the same in private: assessment quality decides everything, and an assessment that does not examine the body, the sleep, the history and the trauma is not finished. If your model is built on throughput, we will not be a good match. If you want assessments that hold up years later, write to me.
If you are a journalist or editor, I am glad to comment on diagnosis culture, on ADHD and medication in Scandinavia, and on the gap between what the evidence shows and what the market sells. I answer quickly, I say it plainly when I do not know, and I never comment on individual practitioners or clinics by name. A short bio and photographs are below.
If you are a colleague who reads the essays and disagrees, write to me too. Pushback sharpens the work, and the field needs the argument more than it needs another round of agreement.
